APPLY SAFELY

Safety centre

Every employer on trab.ph passes a business-identity review — but your own checks still matter.

What our review covers

Before a role goes public we check the employer's registration authority and registration number (SEC or DTI), their stated business website, and basic consistency between the company and the listing. Employers marked ✓ verified additionally had their registration documents reviewed by a moderator.

Review reduces — it cannot eliminate — bad actors. Always run your own checks before sharing personal documents or attending an interview.

Red flags to walk away from

  • Any request for money — "processing fees", training fees, placement fees or paid starter kits. Legitimate employers do not charge applicants.
  • Interviews conducted only over chat apps with no company address, landline or verifiable office.
  • Pressure to decide immediately, or offers made without any interview at all.
  • Pay far above the market range shown on our salary insights for similar roles.
  • Requests for banking passwords, OTPs, or a scanned ID before an offer. A government ID is reasonable after a real offer — never before.
  • Listings that redirect you to a different company than the one named.

Apply safely on trab.ph

Applying through your account keeps your contact details under your control — you can choose to hide them until the employer moves your application forward, and you can withdraw at any time. Your CV is only visible to employers you applied to.

Prefer interviews at a registered place of business or a video call on a recognisable company link. Tell someone where you are going.

Report a listing

Every job page has a Report this role control. Choose a reason — scam or fraud, fake or misleading pay, duplicate, offensive content, or other — and our moderators will review it. Actioned reports close the listing and notify the reporter.

If something went wrong

If you paid money or shared sensitive documents with a suspicious employer, report the listing here, keep your message records, and consider reporting to the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group or NBI. We cooperate with lawful requests.
