How to prepare for a job interview in Metro Manila

A little structure before the interview beats a lot of improvisation inside it.

Read the listing again — closely

Re-read the role description and requirements you applied to. Note the pay range, city and work setup so your answers stay consistent with what the employer published. On trab.ph the screening questions you already answered tell you what the employer cares about most.

Prepare three concrete examples

Interviewers remember specifics. Prepare one example of a problem you solved, one of working under pressure or a deadline, and one that shows the exact skill in the requirements — with real numbers where you have them (volumes handled, error rates, queue times).

Check the practicalities early

Confirm the date, time, location or video link a day ahead — on trab.ph the interview card under My applications carries the schedule and a downloadable calendar file. Plan the commute with a buffer; arriving ten minutes early is the norm, and "Filipino time" is not an excuse interviewers accept.

Bring the basics and ask real questions

Bring a printed CV and a valid ID even if you applied online. Ask what success looks like in the first 90 days, who you would report to, and how the team measures the role — the answers tell you whether the job matches the listing.
