Night differential and overtime pay
The 10% night premium and the overtime multipliers every shift worker should know.
By trab.ph editorial ·
Night differential
Work performed between 10pm and 6am earns at least 10% on top of the regular hourly rate — for every hour in that window, not just whole shifts. BPO, logistics and security roles rely on this heavily; it applies on top of overtime earned in the same hours.
Overtime multipliers
Beyond eight hours a day: 25% extra on ordinary days, 30% on rest days and holidays. Work on a regular holiday pays double the daily rate even within eight hours, and rest-day work adds 30%. These stack with the night premium where they overlap.
Check the listing, then the payslip
Stated monthly pay on trab.ph covers the basic range — ask during interviews how night and overtime premiums are handled, then verify on your first payslip. Undeclared "all-in" packages that quietly absorb the premiums are the most common shortfall.
